  4. Basic description of duties: Description of Duties: Employment consists of being the central node in coordinating internal and external resources for unique operational trials on new and existing equipment. CATEU is a small, mature unit that requires the Operations NCO to be a dependable self-starter with good organizational skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail. 1. Assist the Ops WO in coordinating external trial resources: a. Manage range bookings using CFRIS, and deconflict with other users, as required; b. Manage trial CFTPO briques, assist in populating unit assigned CFTPO tasks, and advise trial officers on the status of requested tasks; c. Coordinate all types of support requests with external entities; and d. Deconflict available internal resources between trials and other unit activities. 2. Assist the Ops WO in managing the integral unit operations: a. Monitor the Ops positional email account; b. Assist the Ops WO in problem solving resource deficiencies and challenges; c. Assist the Ops WO in managing infrastructure trouble calls and maintenance work orders; d. Control key access for all unit infrastructure; e. Maintain oversight on the unit task synchronization matrix; and f. Coordinate unit-assigned Base Duty Sgt and Base Duty Driver tasks. 3. Coordinate the weekly Coordination & Update Brief in the absence of the Ops WO; 4. Act as the Unit Training Coordinator: a. Ensure unit personnel are current on any essential courses by maintaining a tracker; b. Track and monitor FORCE Test completion; c. Track IBTS currencies for all unit personnel against requirements; d. Coordinate and facilitate unit nominations for individual courses and IBTS activities; and e. Assist in planning unit-level training activities. 5. Manage the unit conference room: a. Control access and manage bookings as necessary; and b. Ensure cleanliness, maintenance, and serviceability of equipment. Experience: 1. The following experience would be considered an asset: a. Significant experience using the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly managing Excel spreadsheets; b. Using the Canadian Forces Tasking, Plan and Operations (CFTPO) system for creating task briques and/or populating nominations; c. Using the Canadian Forces Range Information System (CFRIS) for templating and/or range bookings; and d. Previous employment in an operation cell processing support requests and/or coordinating resources at the sub-unit, unit, or formation level.
