  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: FCC Project 2-5 is responsible to FCC Senior Project O (DNCDR 2) for: a. Developing options and defining solutions to satisfy operational deficiencies for FCC; b. Maintaining knowledge and awareness of all current and future aerospace requirement issues as it applies to FCC, and via NCDMO area of responsibility, through direct liaison with operational units, by participating in all applicable committees and agencies, and by keeping abreast of all relevant technological advancements; c. Producing advice and guidance pertaining to submitted Miscellaneous Requirements (MRs), Statement of Operational Capability Deficiencies (SOCDs) and Unsatisfactory Condition Reports (UCRs), and for participating in the subsequent development of the Integrated Prioritized Lists; d. Coordinating specialist staff inputs to queries pertaining to RCAF FCC and capabilities; e. Assisting with the development of and coordinating the implementation of standardization and interoperability measures relating to FCC; f. Preparing briefs, papers and correspondence for matters relating to FCC; g. Advising National Defence Headquarters (NDHQ) staff on FCC; h. Providing guidance to Project Management (PM) staff on FCC requirements; i. Drafting inputs to the Defence Planning Guidance and other Department of National Defence (DND) documents relating to FCC; j. Liaising with NDHQ and external headquarters/agencies on FCC matters; and k. All other duties deemed appropriate by immediate supervisor. DNCDR 2-5 is accountable to (DNCDR 2) for: a. Collaborating with Director Aerospace Equipment Program Management (DAEPM) staff within the ACT the fulfilment of operational requirements; b. Collaborating with managers of related capital projects the ongoing fulfilment of operational requirements as previously identified in the Statement ofRequirement (SOR); and c. Collaborating with D Air Prog by providing data and forecasted requirements for project supplementary personnel.
  4. Basic description of duties: The Future CAOC Capability Project Officer (PO) will develop, promote and fulfill the operational requirements within the Aerospace Capability Team (ACT) as well as to progress Defence Service Programme (DSP) projects and related activities. Acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding operational matters and allows documentation to move efficiently through project programmatic demands. The Future CAOC Capability initiative addresses equipment, information management/information technology (IM/IT), and infrastructure obsolescence with the current Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) Airpower Command and Control (C2) system centred at the CAO
    C. The position is tasked to files of significance, assigned to work in parallel with PMO teams to advance projects through the Project Approval processes as per the PA

Statement on the Engagement of CFSA Part I Annuitants: The Management Framework issued at VCDS 5323-1 (DGRC) 6 March 2012, which remains in force at this time, affords that annuitants in receipt of pension benefits under the CFSA Part I who endeavor to undertake a period of Reserve Force service in fulfillment of a requirement anticipated to last longer than one year shall rejoin and recontribute to the CFSA Part I under the terms of "Option 2" at para 2.13 of CMP instr 20/04. This is the guiding principle on which an AFC decision was based and promulgated by the CDS at 5323-1 (D Res) 5 Mar 2012. Notwithstanding this guiding principle, certain circumstances may exist where an application may be made to VCDS requesting an exception which would permit engagement of a CFSA Part I annuitant under the terms of "Option 1" (maximum 330 days in any 365 day period). CFSA Part I annuitants wishing to apply for this position with an expectation of being approved for service under the terms of "Option 1" as detailed in Para 2.13 of CMP instr 20/04 will only be considered: · in cases where the position is currently vacant; · in the absence of currently serving Reserve Force members not in receipt of benefits under CFSA Part I who apply; · in the absence of currently serving Reserve Force members who are CFSA annuitants wishing to apply under the terms of "Option 2" who apply; · where a reasonable effort has been made to fill the position using non-annuitants or annuitants under the terms of "Option 2;" · where a defined operational impact, including activities that support the implementation of SSE pursuant to CANFORGEN 033/18, can be substantiated to the VCDS should the position remain vacant; · where clearly-identified and expressed plan is articulated to remedy the need to use a CFSA Part 1 annuitant under the terms of "Option 1;" and · where expressed written authority from the VCDS for a specific exception has been requested by the employing unit’s L1 and received.
