Basic description of duties: THE MEDALS PROCESSING ANALYST IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE EFFECTIVE AND TIMELY DISTRIBUTION OF CAMPAIGN AND SERVICE MEDALS, AWARDS, AND MEMENTOES TO SERVING CAF MEMBERS, RETIRED CAF MEMBERS, CIVILIANS, AND TO FAMILIES OF DECEASED MEMBERS. SUCH DUTIES INCLUDE: -THE ACCURATE TRACKING AND PROCESSING OF ALL CAMPAIGN AND SERVICE MEDALS APPLICATIONS; -CONDUCT COMPREHENSIVE AND METICULOUS ELIGIBILITY RESEARCH ON ALL APPLICATIONS USING ODMC, HRMS, MMS, PERMIS, CFTPO, CCPS/RPSR, PASS VFS AND/OR LAC PERS FILES; -DISTRIBUTING CAMPAIGN AND SERVICE MEDALS; -ANSWERING INQUIRIES FROM UNITS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC; -ACCURATELY PREPARE, TRACK AND RESPOND TO CORRESPONDENCES/E- MAILS/LETTERS; AND, -IN CONJUCTION WITH THEIR DAY-TO-DAY DUTIES PERFORMS OTHER TASKS/SERVICE COMMITMENTS AS DIRECTED BY THEIR SUPERVISOR.
