  1. 39 Svc Bn has a Class B Permanent for a MCpl/MCpl MOS ID/Occupation 00171-01-MSE OP to commence on 16-JAN-2025 until 15-JAN-2028.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Experiences working in a Service Battalion Transport Sect an asset, prerequisite training and courses necessary for the acquisition of a Defence Resource Management Information System (DRMIS) account , hands on experience with FMS, are required. Basic knowledge of Monitor MASS is desirable.
  4. Basic description of duties: Primary responsibilities are: Assist the Battalion Transport Sgt with fleet management, focussing on Bn Support (Bn) matters.
    A. Selecting, assigning, and dispatching suitable vehicle(s) in time to meet the authorized vehicle demands of a unit.
    B. Selecting, assigning, and dispatching suitable qualified driver(s), if driver is required, in time to meet the authorized vehicle demands of a unit.
    C. Briefing drivers on road and weather conditions, routes to be followed, estimated duration of details, and other particulars prior to dispatch.
    D. Being familiar with and maintaining dispatch records, vehicle and personnel dispositions and, where applicable, a list of personnel authorized to order DND vehicles.
    E. Informing the TA when it becomes apparent that there are personnel and/or equipment deficiencies, which will affect authorized details.
    F. Informing the TA when a DND vehicle is reported unserviceable by a driver, and take replacement action when/as directed.
    G. Liaising with the maintenance personnel to get unserviceable vehicles repaired and the current status of vehicles being maintained.
    H. Secondary responsibilities are LOG OPS Clk, Fire Warden and other duties as assigned by the Bn TPT O.
