- Basic description of duties: GENERAL
As a SME within the Canadian Army CoE for Info Ops, PSYOPS, CIMIC, SFA, HET, UNMO and HUMSEC, dutifully maintain the knowledge, skills and expertise related to these assigned capabilities. Develop and advance related doctrine and capability development initiatives. Support individual training (IT) and collective training (CT) and facilitate the Army Lessons Learned program
PRIMARY DUTIES
1. Subject Matter Expertise. Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in designated functional areas within the Centre of Excellence. Apply in-depth knowledge, experience, and proficiency in the specific field(s) assigned and contribute to the development and dissemination of best practices, skills, and knowledge.
2. Policy and Doctrine Development. Support the development of policies, procedures, and doctrines related to assigned functional areas. Ensure that established guidelines align with proven and evolving strategy, technological advancements, lessons learned and operational requirements. Write and review doctrine and policy in support of CAF and Allied organizations.
3. Research and Analysis. Conduct, review and collate research and analysis to identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the assigned functional areas. Provide recommendations and insights based on these analyses to inform policy, doctrine, capability development, training and decision-making. Maintain CoE reference and research databases. Maintain currency with relevant CAF communication and organization platforms, to include (but not limited to) D365, MS Teams, and the MS Office Suite.
4. Professional Development. Stay updated with advancements in the functional area through continuous learning and professional development. Seek opportunities for further education, certifications, and training to enhance personal and organizational capabilities.

SECONDARY DUTIES
1. Training and Instruction. Contribute to the design, development, and delivery of PSTC individual and collective training related to assigned functional area(s);
2. Collaboration and Liaison. Collaborate with CAF, OGD, and Allied CoP responsible for the generation or employment of assigned functional area capabilities. Foster and maintain relationships with external organizations, academic institutions, and industry partners to enhance knowledge exchange and currency with developments. Maintain consummately professional interpersonal and interorganizational communications with CoE partners. Represent the CoE by attending Joint, Allied, and International Engagements related to assigned functional areas. Organize and facilitate technical aspects of CoE activities. Research technical solutions for the optimization of CoE tasks and processes. Contribute technical, content and engagement support to CoE professional military education (PME) and professional development (PD) initiatives. Be prepared to represent the CA CoE in assigned functional area(s)through attendance and SME contribution to Joint, Allied, and International Engagements;
3. Operational Support. Offer support and expertise to operational units through CJOC by providing advice, guidance, and solutions related to the assigned functional areas, as directed by Commandant PSTC; and

All members employed within the CADTC formation will complete a minimum annual Number of 10 full or 20 part training days, a minimum periodic attendence of one duty period of every 60 days, and minimum essential activities, including the administrative and training requirements of the PRV for domestic operations tier 1, part 1, the IBTS mandated for CBG HQs and all external to CBGs (all trades), and mandatory training as determined by the ATA.
