  4. Basic description of duties: 1. The responsibilities of this position is as an instructor within Cold Weather Platoon of Training Company, CAAW
    C. 2. Canadian Army Advanced Warfare Centre (CAAWC) is the Canadian Army School that delivers all national calendar courses in Arctic operations, mountain operations, helicopter insertion, aerial delivery, basic helicopter operations, LZ/DZ control, Patrol Pathfinder operations and parachute skills. 3. Duties are as follows: a. Instructor duties IAW CAO 24-08, QSTPs, and unit SOPs; b. Mentor junior instructors; c. Update courseware to include but not limited to Training Plan annexes, lesson plans and power points, aide memoires, and course administration; d. BPT advise the CoC on course specific points and RFIs e. BPT advise the CoC on FCoE (Arctic/Cold Wx) points and RFIs f. BPT provide expertise in support of equipment trials and modification programs g. assist in the development of doctrine and tactics for their specialty; h. monitor future trends within their specialty with emphasis on innovations in training; and i. be prepared to travel domestically and internationally in support of CAAWC individual training delivery and FCoE duties j. Other tasks as assigned.

  9. Remarks: Cover letter, resume, current Guardian MPRR and SCPS screen verification of security clearance are to be attached with the nomination in Monitor Mass. Suitable applicants residing within the geographical area will be given preference. Applicant's medical category, physical fitness and security clearance must be current and at the required level for REO. If an applicant has MELs and is still employable within limitations, a copy of the AR/MEL must be fwd to CTC HQ G1 Reserve Admin Cell. Applicants must have the essential quals as outlined in REO. Applicants with a Secret clearance in progress as of the closing date of the REO may be considered, if no suitable applicant with the appropriate clearance applies. Once an applicant has been selected, the home unit must complete C of C concurrence in Monitor Mass.
