- Basic description of duties: Description of Duties:
The Primary Reserve (PRes) Recruiter (Recr) is employed by 41 Canadian Brigade Group (Bde) recruiting to attract and process applicants for enrolment in the PRes. In conjunction with the Bde Recruiting Officers (RO), they are primarily responsible to support attraction activities along with the administration of the CF aptitude test (CFAT), non-prescription drug (NPD) form and selection interview protocol to PRes applicants. The Recr completes applicant processing as scheduled by Recruiting File Managers (FM). Technical oversight of selection standards and policy will be provided by the Bde Personnel Selection Officer (PSO) while recruiting and processing oversight will be provided by G1 Recruiting.
Primary Duties and Tasks:
a. Attract eligible candidates for Bde units;
b. Support Bde unit attraction activities;
c. Administer, score and interpret the CFAT;
d. Administer the NPD form and interpret results to determine applicant eligibility;
e. Assist applicants by outlining the recruiting process, available occupations and basic eligibility criteria for enrolment;
f. Conduct applicant interviews using the established interview protocol in order to make eligibility and suitability decisions regarding applicant enrolment;
g. Process applicant personal data and conduct reference verifications including initiation of criminal record name check (CRNC), credit check and security pre-assessment using Web SCPS application, telephone and email;
h. Counsel applicants regarding their CFAT, NPD, enhanced reliability status screening and interview results as appropriate;
i. Submit processing waiver requests and prior learning assessment recognition (PLAR) requests as appropriate;
j. Assist in the creation of Bde recruiting instructions and resources;
k. Remain current on recruiting policy and selection standards;
l. Assist in administrative activities pertaining to PRes recruiting including remote unit location processing when needed;
m. Maintain and manage applicant files;
n. Prepare enrolment files and conduct enrolment ceremonies; and
o. Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Although it is expected that the successful member will be employed in the position described for the duration of this REO, the exigencies of the service may require additional, and/or secondary duties during the period of service. Any such changes or additions must be reasonable, and the member will be given sufficient notice of them.
