  3.   4. Basic description of duties: 1. Conduct periodic safety inspections and report accidents in a timely manner. BPT conduct or participate in weekly safety briefings. 2. Read and understand CAF policies, orders and publications. Specifically, read Trusted to Serve. Be committed to the growth and changes being made to improve the CAF culture, rebuild trust, and expand the existing sense of ethos and Canadian values in the military. 3. Create a positive training environment for your students and staff. 4. Conduct quarterly PACE feedback notes on your subordinates. Always strive to provide mentorship and feedback to subordinates and students. 5. Ensure assessments are completed IAW RCAS SOPs and that they are comprehensive, accurate and correct in all regards. 6. Ensure you are familiar with RCAS SOPs regarding the conduct of FTXs, TEWTs, CAXs, CPXs. 7. Be proactive in forecasting the necessary changes to your courses IOT be more efficient. We must be leading change with the RCAS. 8. Support the RCAS's need for material and fiscal accountability while achieving all tasks assigned to you. 9. Maintain a high standard for your administration and administer your subordinates accordingly, and in a timely and accurate manner. 10. Organize challenging and relevant training events for your course. All goals must be achievable. Ensure tactical situations are realistic and supports the technical procedures required. 11. Develop your technical, tactical and personal abilities to lead. 12. Maintain a high professional and ethical standard and expect the same from your subordinates. 13.You must achieve all missions assigned and tasks in training, regardless of the obstacles and challenges. Seek different and ingenious ways of accomplishing your tasks. 14. Review previous course ECRs and Course Critiques and make any appropriate changes required. 15. Ensure all lectures are taught to a high standard utilizing the method best designed to aid student comprehension. 16. Verbal communication is the essence of the combat support leader. Give clear and concise verbal direction to your subordinates. 17. Ensure your written expressions are clear and concise as it reflects either positively or negatively on you. 18. Ensure that you conduct all range practices IAW CAF policy, Range and Training Safety, Range Standing Orders (RSOs), etc. Deviation from these will lead to errors. 19. BPT assist in any other secondary duties that may be assigned. Secondary Duties: All Capts in the RCAS may routinely be tasked to fulfill the duties of the Base Duty Officer.

Applicants with a Secret clearance in progress as of the closing date of the REO may be considered, if no suitable applicant with the appropriate clearance applies.
