  1. NS Highrs has a Class B Temporary for a MCpl/MCpl MOS ID/Occupation 90000-ATR to commence on 28-AUG-2024 until 01-DEC-2024.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: MCpl/MCpl
      IAW ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.
    2. MOS ID: 90000-ATR
      Inftr preferred.
    3. Language: English essential
    4. Security clearance: Secret
    5. Health: BE MED/DENT FIT
    6. Physical fitness: MUST BE PHYSICALLY FIT
    7. Required experience and quals:
      Courses:
      Quals: A. The following qualifications/authorities must be completed within 3 months of employment start date (or soonest available opportunity): (1) Dangerous Goods; (2) HAZMAT; (3) Environmental crse; (4) Expenditure Management sections 32, 33, 34; (5) Contracting Direct with Trade (CDWT); and (6) Green Procurement Course.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    A. Valid 404;
    B. Knowledgeable in transportation mandate and responsibilities;
    C. Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of a general purpose operator, including route planning, passenger and cargo coordination and processing;
    D. Knowledge of policies and procedures for transportation as detailed in the Transportation Manual and Driver's Rules and Regulations manuals;
    E. General knowledge and the ability to work independently without supervision and under general guidance being provided by the 2IC and IC;
    F. Effective communications skills (both oral and written);
    G. Computer skills appropriate to work effectively with Microsoft suite (Outlook, Word, Excel), Fleet Manager System (FMS) and Monitor Mass;
    H. Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with others; and I. Must be able to prepare, load and unload, restrain and document all types of cargo on a variety of vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Ensuring any and all damage to vehicles is reported immediately;
    B. Maintaining and controlling accurate log book information, and documentation;
    C. Ensuring vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained to the optimum level; and
    D. Reports to RQMS, completing all tasks assigned by Adjt/Ops.
