  1. 5 Cdn Div HQ has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 28-AUG-2024 until 27-AUG-2027.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic:
    A. Experience in an Operational Headquarters desired;
    B. Must be proficient with OPP and staff duties;
    C. Must be eligible/have DND 404; and
    D. Must be available to travel within Atlantic region on short notice for periods of up to five days.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Support Div Engr to provide engr advice to Div HQ and formations in support of operations and exercises;
    B. Support Div Engr with coordination between 5 Div and ADM(IE) Real Property Operations (RP Ops);
    C. Work with Div units and formations to develop their short and long-term infrastructure requirements;
    D. Research and amalgamate engr technical advice for the Div Engr;
    E. Aid Div HQ G3 and G7 with staff checks on the availability of pers and eqpt for higher and lower HQ;
    F. Support the proper passage of information both up and down the tech net;
    G. Aid 5 Cdn Div units with resource needs, force generation, employment issues and management issues, as required;
    H. In coordination with 5 Div units, support development of ADM(IE)'s Master Real Property Development Plans (MRPDP) and Site Development Plans (SDP); I. Provide limited advice on CA and Div infrastructure policies; J. OPI 5 Cdn Div Engr ACIMS site; K. Prepare briefing notes and reports, as required; L. Conduct and participate in meetings and briefs, as required; and M. Must take part in engr meetings and management committees established for each project as they arise.
