  1. CFB Comox has a Class A for a Pte/Cpl MOS ID/Occupation 00171-01-MSE OP to commence on 15-JUL-2024 until 14-JUL-2034.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Regular Force, Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Asset qualifications & Secondary Requirements: a. Hold a current Provincial Driver's Licence with a clean driving record and capable of driving in all weather conditions; b. Be DDC qualified; c. Be familiar with Tn directives; d. Ramp DDC and Bus qualifications an asset; e. Be in possession of a DND 404; and f. Experience driving light passenger vehicles and cargo vehicles up to 5 ton. Organizational Requirements: a. The successful applicant may be required to work on weekends and evenings from time to time and must be flexible with respect to hours of employment on occasion; b. May be required to travel; and c. May be temporarily assigned other military duties.
  4. Basic description of duties: The MSE Op will be responsible for consistent and appropriate application of Tn rules and regulations; vehicle security; cargo and passenger safety. This will be accomplished by: a. Reading and understanding the Tn rules, regulations and SOPs; b. Operating vehicles up to 49 pax to transport personnel; c. Operating cargo vehicles up to 5 ton; d. Special Purpose equipment such as plow, sweeper, blower, and refuellers on the airfield; and e. Other activities as required by supervisor.

However, there is the possibility of up to 180 days class B (surge) employment each fiscal year dependent upon operational requirements, funding availability and availability of sufficient full-time equivalent (FTE).
