  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Tasked as Duty Lock-up NCM and Duty Sup.
  4. Basic description of duties: The Storeman is responsible for overall receiving, safeguarding, issuing, accounting for and effecting repairs of all stores and equipment used by the Canadian Ranger and Junior Canadian Ranger Patrols and the 3 CRPG staff;
    A. Raise demands for stores materials as required including Depot demands in DRMIS;
    B. Maintain accurate inventories of issued and expended stores and material as required by supply regulations or for planning and financial accounting purposes;
    C. Issue stores and equipment to all 3 CRPG staff;
    D. Receive training stores and equipment from Canadian Ranger and Junior Canadian Ranger Instructors/CQ's on their return from exercises, and ensure that equipment is ready for re-issue;
    E. Arrange for training stores and equipment to be repaired or replaced as necessary, in consultation with the RGQMS;
    F. Maintain appropriate documentation on all issues and receipts of training stores and equipment;
    G. Compile reports for passage to the RGQMS concerning loss or damage of stores and material;
    H. Compile and forward to the RGQMS, results of inventory checks; I. Research by means of the CGCS, Standing Offer Index and other documentation , appropriate and cost effective sources and means of acquisition; J. Procure by means of standing offers, or direct from trade, material as required by 3 CRPG IAW applicable guidelines and regulations; K. Ensure material is properly and correctly identified; L. Ensure stores and equipment are properly warehoused; M. Select and issue material as required to support 3 CRPG activities; and N. Be ready to deploy with 3 CRPG to isolated regions of Ontario for extended periods to support training and exercises.
