  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: a. An Operational Tour; b. Experience at unit level or higher Operation Centres; c. Knowledge of Airfield operations, to include flight and ground requirements; d. Knowledge of the 19 Wing Mission, Vision and organization; e. Strong background in the overall RCAF mission; and f. Knowledge of computer based learning techniques (DLN). Organizational Requirements: a. The successful applicant will be required to work shiftwork including weekends and evenings and must be flexible in respect to hours of employment on occasion; b. May be required to travel; and c. May be temporarily assigned other military duties.
  4. Basic description of duties: The Duty Watch Operator (DWOp) is an ATR NCM position performing air ops support duties, responsible for assisting the Duty Watch Officer in the smooth operation of the DAIS or as part of the Command Post Team, and is an integral part of NORAD QRA operations when acting as QRA DOB Liaison (often the sole WOC representative during DOB operations). In addition, they perform start up/shutdown of the Wing Secure Video Conference Room (SVC). Under direction of the Lead DWOp and the Duty Watch Officer: (i) Perform a watch on the DAIS, and maintaining a detailed and accurate DWOp log; (ii) Respond to incoming calls to the DAIS and actioning requests/inquiries accordingly including but not limited to wash hangar bookings, PPRs, Arrival/Departure Messages, aircraft noise complaints etc; (iii) Monitor DWAN, +MSOP and Secret MSC DWOp accounts; (iv) Manage bookings, access and activation of the 7 Hangar Secure Video Teleconference Room (SVTC); (v) Monitoring 407 Sqn Flying/Weekly/Ops schedule and 19 Wing aircraft serviceability; (vi) Perform Daily muster and ensure security of publications and equipment; (vii) Maintaining a presence on the DAIS when DWO 1 or DWO 2 are absent; (viii) Operate WOC briefing room computers and projection system in the conduct of the Wing Commander's morning briefings; (ix) Manage, archive and destruction of Mission Trip Packs and register logs in accordance with established procedures; (x) Activating QRA COC and fulfilling COC operator, escort and custodian responsibilities; (xi) Monitoring and operation of RELCAN chat; (xii) Assisting in the activation and operation of the 19 Wing Command Post; (xiii) Performing WOC related duties such as security checks, Fire Warden responsibilities, vehicle custodian, supply procurement, signing out of keys etc; and (xiv) Perform other duties as directed by the DWO, L/DWOp and/or WOC
