- Basic description of duties:
A. Compilation of 14 Wing Squadron and Unit daily flying programs, and promulgation of the next day's Wing daily flying program;
B. Monitoring and updating the Wing Flying Program using UL Tools and other software associated with Wing flying duties;
C. Promulgation of duty vehicle and Meteorological Briefing schedule;
D. Co-ordinating transient aircraft requirements;
E. Responsible for the co-ordination and tasking of 14 Wing Standby aircraft including all 14 Wing SAR assets during silent hours;
F. Responsible for the standing up of the QRA when notified of incoming OP NOBLE EAGLE assets;
G. Liaising with other Wing units and agencies in the day to day activities on the Wing;
H. During silent hours acting as the main point of contact on the Wing and keeping the 14 Wing Duty Major, WOC Flt Comd and WComd informed of any significant event that affects 14 Wing or its interests;
I. Monitoring of incoming messages and during silent hours the release of messages that pertain to flying operations and 14 Wing activities;
J. Liaising and keeping Higher Headquarters and outside agencies informed of activities as they pertain to 14 Wing;
K. Monitor and co-ordinate the Wing Snow and Ice Removal (SNIC) Plan in conjunction with ATC;
L. Act as the Deputy Fighter Ops Officer for 14 OSS by assisting the 14 OSS Fighter Ops Officer in the duties for fighter operations; and
M. Completion of other tasks that may be assigned by the S Ops O, WOC Flt Comd or 14 Wing Duty Major.
