- Basic description of duties: The Training Support Coordinator (Location) is responsible to the Training Officer for the coordination of support to all assigned training program activities. Duties include:
• Assist with the development of training plans, schedules, operations orders and completion of support requests for assigned training activities.
• Conduct RDA and NDA training activities as tasked.
• Assist with the coordination and delivery of COATS training as required.
• Coordinate the provision of service support for assigned training activities.
• Ensure that the provision of support remains within approved activity budget and seek additional authorization when actual costsexceed approved activity allocation.
• Liaise frequently with the Training Officer to share information on corps and squadron issues and successes.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to provide support to cadet corps and squadrons.
• Organize and conduct assigned training activities.
• Promote the role of senior cadets as peer leaders in corps and squadrons.
• Conduct staff assistance visits to assess corps and squadron viability and assist the Training Officer in devising action plans as required.

- Remarks: A. This is a temporary Class B position with a three year engagement period IAW Ref A. The applicant will be a Staff Member within the RCSU. Initially, they will be in the job as identified within this REO, but can expect to be assigned to other tasks and potentially fill another role within the RCSU during their employment period.
B. This position is not a remote work opportunity.
C. As per ref C, the member is responsible for contacting their home unit to request nomination for the REO. The home unit OR will conduct a staff check to ensure the member does not have any outstanding administrative or disciplinary action pending on their file prior to nomination. Nominations must be made in Monitor Mass a minimum of 48 hours prior to the competition closing date. Supporting documents must be received by the REO OPI no later than 2359 Pacific standard-time on the closing date.
D. The employment of Regular Force annuitants is strictly controlled within the CAF and must be approved by the VCDS. This permanent position is advertised as either an Option 1 or Option 2 Reserve Employment Opportunity; however preference will be given to suitably qualified non-annuitant applicants. In the absence of a suitably qualified COATS or Primary Reserve non-annuitant member, Regular Force annuitants will be considered and may be offered the position on an Option 1 contract basis with employment limitations on the number of days employed annually. Annuitant employment periods shall not exceed three years in the position at which time the position must be posted for competition through REO.
E. Applicants must provide a cover letter and resume describing in detail specifically how the applicant satisfies each of the required experience, quals and secondary requirements and including the following:
1) Security clearance expiry date;
2) Dates available;
3) Contact numbers at work and home;
4) Confirmation of whether or not member is in receipt of a pension under the CFSA attributable to Reg F svc;
5) Email contact information for two work references; Members current military supervisor may also be contacted.
6) Copy of their MPRR;
7) Supporting documentation pertinent to the position.
F. In addition to the required cover letter and resume, applicants may choose to submit additional supporting documentation (e.g. performance evaluations, course reports, letters, and awards) for consideration. Information in those documents will be considered by the selection board and HQ CO/RCSU CO (employing authority) to determine the applicant's match to the required experience and qualifications and secondary requirements for the position, and their past performance and potential.
