  1. 5 CDSB Gagetown has a Class B Permanent for a Capt/Capt MOS ID/Occupation 90024-GSO to commence on 01-MAR-2024 until 28-FEB-2027.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.
  2. Essential requirements are as fols:
    1. Rank: Capt/Capt
      IAW ref A, applicants who are one rank lower or one rank higher may apply, however will only be considered in those exceptional circumstances where no other qualified candidate is available. If one rank higher is the only suitable applicant, mbr may be required to relinquish their rank for the period of employment.

Should member not have certification the course will be required to be completed within 6 months of position start date; 6. AOC qualified (considered an asset); 7. Experience with MS Office Suite; 8. Competency in military writing; and 9. Ability to speak publicly in front of groups of various sizes.

  3. Secondary requirements of position, as applic: Applicants who do not meet the language requirements of the position may be considered. However, priority will be given to those applicants who meet the language requirements of the position.
  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Manage Formation taskings and resources: Personnel, equipment, ammunition, and rations;
    B. Produce orders and attend operational planning groups in support of current operations;
    C. Coordinate all domestic and contingency taskings;
    D. Keep current on 5 CDSG FG and operational capabilities;
    E. Staff Commander's Critical Information Requirements and liaise with Comd on these and additional reports; and
    F. Conduct DOMOPS FG, monitor Atlantic Canada's environmental factors and BPT support IRU requirements.
