  1. CFB Borden has a Class B Temporary for a Sgt/Sgt MOS ID/Occupation 00164-01-COOK to commence on 06-FEB-2023 until 05-FEB-2025.Only personnel from the following Component/Sub-Component may apply for this position: Primary Reserve Force, Supplementary Reserve Force, Regular Force.

      MCpl/MS eligible for promotion and WO/PO1 willing to relinquish their rank can apply but will only be considered if no qualified Sgt/PO2 are found.

  4. Basic description of duties:
    A. Order rations using Unitrak
    B. Manage rotation of fresh products
    C. Communicate with suppliers on a daily basis by email and or phone
    D. Receive rations, checking for quality and accuracy of orders according to SOA's
    E. Finalize PO's using Unitrak reporting price discrepancies
    F. Be financially responsible when creating PO's
    G. Liaise with Shift IC, 2 IC, Dispersed Meals on a daily basis for purchasing requirements
    H. Oversee quantity of meat pulled for meals to control production levels I. Take monthly inventory J. Put away rations as required K. Manage time accordingly meeting supplier timelines L. Monitor fridges/freezers/dry storage room for food safety and cleanliness through FSDP M. Relay work orders need to 2 IC Kitchen as required N. Develop and maintain a par stock level
